StarWars: Untold

Bit of fanfiction I was writing, it could use a bit of work but I'm low on ideas. I could use some feedback if anybody is willing.

"The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the Force. The Force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined: the crystal, the blade, the Jedi. You are one." Remembering that old lesson has been the hardest part of this life, the life given to my by my master so long ago.

I was only five years old when our village was attacked by rogues who thought we would be an easy target, but our village leader was a former Jedi and a skilled wielder of the Light Saber. When the rogues tried to burn down the huts on the edge of the village they found themselves trapped in place unable to move, my master fell upon them and destroyed their weapons easily. She also felt the need to 'disarm' a few of them as a warning should they get the idea to return to our home. This was when I first found an interest in the Force and decided to try and become a student under my Master's care, she refused at first but I never gave up I found ways of training myself in daily life, running everywhere I went, climbing whatever high tree I saw, and swimming every river.

After about a month I went to my Master again and showed her I had become stronger and she accepted to train me if I could find for her a rare Pontite Crystal, not knowing how to go about finding it at first I asked several people and all of them said the same. "They did not exist in the area of space we inhabited." but I kept searching and after another few months I caught a break, the rogues who attacked us had once been miners on a world that Jedi once used as a training ground. I went to their camp under cover of night and stole from them the crystals they had and returned to my Master and presented them to her, she looked them over and asked me which of them it was I had been sent to find out of the few in my hand lay Crystals of orange, red, green, blue, pink, purple and one single Crystal a shinning white. I chose the white holding it up to her and laying the others at my side, she smiled and asked me how I could tell which one to pick. I smiled wide and gave her the only answer I could think of, "I guessed." this seemed to strike her fancy as she smiled at me and laid her hands onto my shoulders, "You are now my student and will learn the ways of the Force."

My Master taught me many things growing up, by the time I was fifteen she had shown me many of the ways of the Force. I had completed Light Saber training using a model she had made for me, which I kept for a long time and use as a spare just in case. The Saber I use now was designed to be perfect for defense rather than attack, I have found that I do not have the force of will to strike at someone unless they have done me harm. Master taught me to use mind tricks to help hide myself from whom ever may decide to hunt Jedi, the one thing she would never teach me was how to control a person's will like she was able. When I turned twenty I began to notice my Master did not age like the others of our world and asked her about, she seemed surprised I noticed at all "Most can not see pas the Vail I have laid." She commented off handily, "I have learned to slow my aging to the point that it does not a cure for many hundred of years." this was a shock. I had been unaware that any such type of ability could exist, she explained that she had been around since the founding of the Jedi Order.

As she told me the stories of her past I began to understand why it is she became a defender for our village, she had come to our world to try and wash the blood from her hands though she would never admit it. During the countless years she lived she had fought in any number of wars, during these years she had killed a great many people and it weighed heavily on her soul. I started to truly understand my Master and her teachings much more in the months that followed, I even came to love my Master more than a Padawan should by code of the Jedi. On the eve of my twenty first birthday she took me to a cave hidden below her hut and let me rebuild my Light Saber with the Pontite Crystal I had gotten for her as a child, we spent the night in the cave together as more than Master and student. When I awoke in the morning she took me to a hidden ship many miles south of our village and told me it was time to go out into space and make a name for myself with the New Jedi Order being formed.

I left her behind that day and never looked back to the world that I once called home, I ended up on a hidden world many months later working with the military of the City on The Water to remove what was left of the Empire's Shadow Guard that had survived the war. Even with the training my Master gave me it has been hard to keep to using a Light Saber to strike down an enemy, I tend to abandon my Saber in most fights in favor or the Force or a blaster.
